Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful to live in such a beautiful and inspiring place as Lake Tahoe. The first World Cup race of the season is fast approaching.  October 25th & 26th marks the start the world cup season with a giant slalom race on the Rettenbach glacier.  Both men and women will race on the same run, which also happens to be one of the steepest pitches on the circuit.  Athletes will be coming off their summer training regimens of physical conditioning and on-snow training.  Some teams had better on-snow summer training than others due to…

      Snow in Sierras! The rumors are true! There is snow in the Sierras. The storm system that moved through this past weekend brought a decent dusting of snow to the upper elevations. The smoke from the King Fire has left the basin and has been replaced with the sweet smell of fall.
