as you ski some of the highest peaks in Switzerland, rip turns across

PORTILLO,
CHILE - August 14-24, 2009 Summer in the Andes
Portillo is South America's premiere
ski resort, famous for its majestic setting and deep snow. Once you
go, you’ll never want to leave. This is NASTC ’s 14th season
at this friendly, exclusive, and challenging resort. Ski down to glacier-blue
Lake Inca or traverse into huge bowls amidst 15,000’ Andean peaks.
With 12 lifts, 23 runs, and all the snow of a maritime range, we have
skied it all in August (equivalent of February at home). Portillo is
home to big mountain extremists, racers, and every-day carvers, but
amidst the familial and social atmosphere of the Grand Living Room and
the late night disco, everyone is equal. Levels 6-9

ground transfers, Portillo Octagon lodging and meals, 8-day lift ticket,
6 days instruction, hotel amenities, and final night in 4-star Santiago

NASTC's Women's Camp
For the first time ever we will
be offering a specialized instructional camp just for women August 15-22.
This specialized camp will take place in conjunction with the traditional
NASTC camp, however ladies will have their own seperate training group
and female instructor.

Kids Camp
For the first time NASTC is offering
a kids' freeskiing/race training camp for ages 8-14. For years our clients
have requested we run one like this so that they can enjoy summer skiing
in Portillo WITH their families. What a great way to spend one of the
last weeks before school starts! Adventure skiing and race training
in the Andes! Kids will be places in ability-appropriate small groups
with their own coach. They will ski from 9-12, break for lunch with
parents, ski 1-3.30, and then enjoy all the hotel has to offer (a bit
like being on a cruise ship complete with long lists of fun kids' activities
posted daily!) A bit of sight seeing in Santiago is a fitting end to
this cultural experience. Join us this year for a skiing experience
you will never forget. Portillo is everyone's paradise!
NASTC Course Cost $4390 (adult, kids price is
lower, tba)
Price includes:
Ground transfers to and from Portillo, 7 nights lodging in the Octagon
at Portillo (upgrades to the hotel are available), 4 gourmet meals per
day (includes the Chilean custom of tea time know as "onces"),
6 days instruction in small groups (6-1 ratio, no more than 24 total)
led by PSIA National Demonstration Team Members, evening tech talks
on topics ranging from equipment to conditioning to out of bounds skiing,
personalized video reviews, all hotel amenities and daily free activities,
NASTC goodie-bag and sponsor give-a-ways, travel and Santiago night
options available, and backcountry tours, heli-skiing and other upgrades
optional.
